Facial Hijama is a therapeutic facial, using gentle techniques and suction designed by Nasima Nahar to rejuvenate the skin.
Nasima Nahar pioneered and named Facial Hijama in 2009, introducing a treatment for areas of the face that have not traditionally been addressed through hijama.
Historical Background
Hijama has a long-standing history in medicine, although it is essential to note that while a cup has touched the face historically, Nasima Nahar’s method and treatment plans have been exclusively developed by her.
Nasima Nahar, the pioneer of Facial Hijama and one of the first to put Facial Cupping on the map, first performed and named this innovative treatment in 2009. Importantly, there is no clinical or medical evidence suggesting that facial wet cupping is unsafe. To date, no studies, case reports, or formal documentation exist regarding its risks. This treatment utilizes specialized tools designed specifically for the face, rather than standard body blades, such as sizes 11 or 15, which are inappropriate for facial use.
Facial Hijama and Facial Cupping, as taught and practiced according to Nasima Nahar’s developments, represent the first structured and professional application of wet cupping on the face accreditedand recognised by IPHM and CMA. Modern hijama for the face with adapted techniques suitable for the face, a light and superficial treatment developed by Nasima Nahar.
Currently this is the only formalized and exclusive facial course available worldwide for Facial Hijama. This course provides practitioners with unique access to Nasima Nahar’s original method, ensuring that the treatment is delivered to the highest professional standards.
⚠️ Any other courses or providers claiming to teach Facial Hijama are not recognized and do not reflect the original method developed by Nasima Nahar. At present, no other training provider has officially recognized training in Facial Hijama, and standard Body Hijama courses do not encompass or teach Facial Hijama.
